The following policy “Code of Ethics for Jewish Evangelism” was approved unanimously by the board of Tzedakah Ministries on 29 January 2022:
Tzedakah Ministries is utilizing concepts for this Code of Ethics from sources which include the World Evangelical Alliance, the Lausanne Covenant (1974), and Spiritual Abuse Resources.
- First and foremost; Tzedakah Ministries believes that Messiah Jesus is the only way to God the Father for all people – Jewish and Gentile;
- Tzedakah Ministries believes that all people, whether one is Jewish or Gentile, is in need of a personal relationship with Jesus the Messiah for all people;
- Tzedakah Ministries believes that people should not be coerced to believe in Jesus as Messiah – regardless of our personal desire that they would believe in Him as Messiah;
- Tzedakah Ministries will affirm an individual’s right to reject Jesus as Messiah and we will maintain our friendship with them even if or when they do;
- Tzedakah Ministries rejects, decries and disavows any coercive techniques or manipulative appeals (especially those which may appeal to an individual’s psychological weaknesses);
- Tzedakah Ministries will not utilize any technique which hide our true intent of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Messiah to Jewish people when we begin an overt Gospel presentation with an individual;
- Tzedakah Ministries believes that any mission endeavor that does not include an ethical component of honor and integrity is not a true mission endeavor; and
- Tzedakah Ministries believes that true missions is not proselytism in the modern sense of “forced conversion” but is a decision that a person makes based on informed knowledge and education and respect and individual liberty.
