Statement of Faith
At Tzedakah Ministries, our Statement of Faith reflects our commitment to the truth of Scripture and the calling to share God’s love through word and action. We affirm the foundational beliefs that guide our mission, our teaching, and our service to others.
The Scriptures
We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of both the Old and New Testaments. Consequently, all of Scripture is infallible and inerrant in its original autographs. The majestic truth of the Old Testament should be understood as both self-sustaining in its own setting while at the same time a foreshadowing of the truth of Messiah Jesus. The glorious grace of the New Testament would not be possible without its role of being a fulfillment of the Old Testament promises. Ultimately, Scripture is the final authority for life, evangelism, and service for a Sovereign God and Lord. The Triune God
We believe in one God existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (also known as the Trinity). Each member of the Godhead is Himself both distinct and equal to all other members of Trinity. Each person – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – is perfect in that He not only possesses the characteristics of deity but He himself is the reality of deity. God the Father
We believe God the Father is author of creation. He spoke the worlds and the heavens into existence by the simple act of His will and declaration. He is timeless and eternal as He is the creator of time (past, present, and future). God the Father is sovereign and can be understood as omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He also is intimately involved in the lives of His creation and is approachable as Father but must be recognized as the God of the Universe. Jesus the Son
We believe Jesus the Son was eternally pre-existent with the Father. He is not a creation of the Father God but is himself God. We also believe that Jesus through the Incarnate act of the Virginal Conception became a man so that He could become the ultimate Passover Lamb and Yom Kippur sacrifice. Jesus is the answer to man’s desperate need for salvation and the only possible means for a personal relationship with God the Father. The Atoning Work of Jesus
We also believe Jesus lived a sinless, perfect life who rejected the temptations of sin and became the atonement for the sins of the world through the shedding of His blood on the cross and His victorious resurrection from the grave. If you believe that Messiah Jesus died for your sins, are willing to repent of your sins and confess that Jesus is the Lord, you will be saved. The Second Coming of Christ
We further believe that Jesus after His ascension to Heaven is presently serving in His role as intercessor for those who receive the gift of salvation. And while Jesus came in His first coming as the Passover Lamb and Yom Kippur sacrifice, we affirm that His second coming will be one of power and glory to reward those who received the gift of salvation and to judge those who rejected His atoning and gracious sacrifice. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit has been and is eternally present with the Father and Son. He was active with God the Father in the creation of the world, serves in the role of convicting people of their sins, indwells those souls who receive the salvation of Jesus the Son, and equips believers in their daily lives to exemplify a life of holiness through evangelism and service. Humanity and Sin
We believe that man was created in the image of God as He personally shaped man (and woman) to be in the likeness of Himself. However, Adam’s disobedience in the Garden caused a separation from the Father and caused all future people to be born with a rebellious, sin nature. Adam’s disobedience created an enmity between the Father and His creation that can only be healed through Messiah Jesus, the Savior of the world and the bringer of salvation. Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe in justification by grace through faith alone. Good works and striving to live a holy life will not save anyone as the righteousness of man is nothing but degradation before God. Faith in Jesus the Messiah is the only way for salvation for both Jews and Gentiles. We further believe that those who have truly placed their faith in Jesus as Messiah cannot lose their salvation. Salvation is not achieved through man’s human efforts and neither can it be retained by the actions of an individual. God’s Covenant with Israel
We believe that God made an irrevocable covenant with Abraham and consequently through the son of promise Isaac and his son Jacob. This covenant pertains both to the promises of land and to the unique relationship of sonship. However, this covenant does not eliminate the need of the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (the Jewish People) to recognize the truth of the Messiahship of Jesus, to receive the atoning sacrificial gift of salvation, and to proclaim that Jesus is Lord. The Church
We believe that the church (congregation of Scripturally baptized believers) is comprised of both Jews and Gentiles who have received the gracious and atoning gift of salvation. These congregations of believers should not separate from the other as both Jewish and Gentile believers have much to teach and learn from each other. One of the primary purposes of the church is to unify and not divide as this helps to assist each other in our mutual growth and edification. The Church
We believe that the church (congregation of Scripturally baptized believers) is comprised of both Jews and Gentiles who have received the gracious and atoning gift of salvation. These congregations of believers should not separate from the other as both Jewish and Gentile believers have much to teach and learn from each other. One of the primary purposes of the church is to unify and not divide as this helps to assist each other in our mutual growth and edification. The Return and Reign of Christ
We believe that Jesus will come again to earth as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to establish the millennial kingdom on earth and to bring a consummation to the history of this present world. The Resurrection and Final Judgment
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the redeemed and the reprobates. The redeemed of Messiah Jesus will be raised to receive the reward of eternal life in heaven and those who rejected the salvation gift of Jesus will be condemned to an eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire also known as hell.
